Who Runs the World.....Girls
Today is International Woman's Day. But everyday is a day for celebrating strong, independent, female entrepreneurs. A woman has a unique perspective of running a business, one that requires dedication, grit, hard work, passion and a touch of being a survivor. It is a man's world and woman have worked for decades to break that mold and to take life by the horns. And guess what ladies, we've done it and made it look easy. Now is not the time to give up the continued push to making gender in entrepreneurship something that is no longer even a thought.
I pride myself on providing insight as a female and minority owned business. I understand how difficult it may be to change public perception of a woman in a "man's world" or to break into the ole boys club. It is a nitty gritty struggle every day. The perspective of a woman attorney, with our own practice, who can help a woman entrepreneur is invaluable. What do I mean by that? Easy....I have made a name for myself and created an approach that is innovative, one that breaths fresh life into a tired old scene. And I want to help you do the same. Whether you're in the fitness business, the nutrition business, the coaching business, or any other kind of business, there is a place for you.
The thing to remember is that you have a unique voice. There is a market that you can carve out for yourself that will allow you to shine and grow your business. When you find your tribe, you can really lean into the space you want to create. It is important to have a supportive team around you both professionally and personally who can help you to grow and really break through in your industry. One size does not fit all and it is important to keep that in mind. You may not want or be able to take a brawny approach to your business but that does not mean you cannot be strong in your delivery.
The space for woman and minority owned businesses has been supported by the state and federal governments to encourage and support woman owning their own businesses. It is beneficial to be able to work through these programs and take advantage of the perks available to MWBE owners. Forward thinking and planning will help to maximize these benefits and need to be in place from the beginning.
So on this International Woman's Day what are you waiting for? It is time to make your dream a reality and let's get you on the path to business ownership and entrepreneurship.
